Crystal Andrus is a worldwide leader in the field of self-discovery and personal transformation. She has risen to become a three-time best-selling author, international speaker, TV personality, the host of her own radio show on CBS Radio, a women’s advocate, and Founder of The S.W.A.T. Institute (Simply Woman Accredited Trainer).
Certified by the American College of Sports Medicine and Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Crystal is also the CEO and founder of Crystal Andrus Productions, which is dedicated to creating health and healing products, CDs, DVDs, retreats, and telecourses.
A personal coach to people from all walks of life—including A-list celebrities, medical doctors, artists, musicians, scientists, psychologists, and other best-selling authors and coaches, as well as regular people in need—Crystal’s passion is to climb down in the trenches to help those who are ready and willing to become the heroes of their own lives.
Crystal’s personal story is the perfect backdrop to become a voice for the next era of the women’s movement. She has overcome insurmountable odds to create a life of joy and purpose. From a tough beginning—her parents turbulent divorce at age 12, a stranger rape at 14, extended sexual abuse from a family friend, moving out at 15, battling the early stages of cervical cancer at only 17, suffering a traumatic head injury at age 20 that left her to deal with seizures, marrying young and gaining over 80 pounds in her pregnancies, then struggling through a difficult divorce and near bankruptcy before becoming a single mother to two beautiful girls (one who nearly lost her own life in 2010)—Crystal has dedicated her life to helping women transcend their victimhood, martyrdom, and self-limiting beliefs, fears, and patterns.
She initially self-published her first book, Simply...Woman! in 2003. The international self-help book publisher, Hay House Publishing, immediately picked it up. Crystal trademarked the name Simply...Woman! to be used for The S.W.A.T. Institute (Simply Woman Accredited Trainer), along with other licensing opportunities such as S.W.A.Y. (Simply Woman Accredited Yoga), Simply Woman Skincare, Simply Woman Cosmetics, Simply Woman Supplements, Simply Woman Organic Candles, Simply Woman Clothes, etc.
Crystal’s book, Simply...Woman! was a blockbuster success in 2005, coming in at #14 as the Reader’s Choice at Chapters, Indigo, and Coles across Canada (40,000 readers were polled).
Her second book, Transcendent Beauty! (Hay House Publishing - 2006) cracked open her speaking and TV career, where Crystal became the life coach on CTV’s Canada AM on a weekly segment called Shaping Up for Stardom.
In 2007, she became the life coach and nutritionist on the hit TV show, X-Weighted (seen in 15 countries). Crystal would go into the homes of overweight people who were struggling for a breakthrough with their weight loss. In her loving but laser-quick approach, she could effortlessly crack through denial, making her a constant audience favorite—three of her episodes won a Gemini for best documentary series (Canadian TV’s highest award).
Her last book, Simply... EMPOWERED! (Hay House Publishing - 2010) was declared “one of this year’s must-reads” by New York Times bestselling author, Debbie Ford. New York Times bestselling author, Eldon Taylor said, “Crystal Andrus has an honest, no-nonsense, straightforward approach that can absolutely liberate you.” And bestselling author, Carol Ritberger wrote, “Writing a book that commands universal attention is not readily achieved. Writing a book that truly impacts lives is not commonplace. Writing a book that defines the character of the human spirit, as lived and documented in Simply... EMPOWERED! by Crystal Andrus, is life changing. If you read just one book this year to strengthen your personal resolve, make it this one.”
Her next book, What Women Really Want! What Men Really Need! (2013) describes a new “female language” coining the terms “Woman Energy™, Daughter Energy™, and Mother Energy™. Andrus has literally created a new way of communicating, where women quickly understand themselves and each other (along with the men in their lives using the terms: Man Energy, Son Energy, Father Energy). It is a book for all women, of all ages, around the world. It is the tipping point women have needed.
Nominated for the past three years by the Royal Bank of Canada as Canada’s Top Female Entrepreneur, Crystal is just as passionate about the business behind the business. Institute) built the “Harvard” of coaching schools, including her stellar “stand alone” program, “The Business Behind the Business” that teaches women how to catapult their careers.
